Two weeks from today, family and friends will be here and the big day will be right around the corner! We celebrated my Dad's birthday last weekend and Dennise experimented with the wedding cakes. She did an amazing job but we are still going to change a couple things in hopes that it will make it a little easier and tastier. On Monday, Matt and I went to get our marriage license. It was quite an event and they asked us some very humorous questions...Have we been divorced within the last 30 days, if we are currently married, if we owe back child support and if we were related in anyway. It was a good time!
We are going to the civic center next week to finalize the tables, chairs, decorations, and payments. I am hoping that we wont have any surprise guests because there wont be many extra seats. If you are bringing someone and they were not on your RSVP card, please let me know and we will try to fit them in somewhere. I would hate to have people waiting outside while we get married.
Matt and I are considering making a seating arrangement. My Dad brought up a very good point that if people pick their own seats, the people that come in at the end may have to split up since everyone will be sitting at a table during the ceremony. We shall see. Matt's mom came up with an excellent idea for the party favors. We have decided to go with koozies. I thought about showing a picture but I do want some stuff to be a surprise. They are super cute and I can't wait to see them! Although we have been working really hard, we are no where near done. We still need extra plates for the cake table, something to serve the lettuce, hot sauce and peppers, something to serve ice, a bouquet to toss, pens for the sign-in table, the order of the reception and part of the wedding and maybe a bit more table decorations. I am so excited! I can't believe it is so close!
